* air conditioner 有哪些用途不但在调节温度，也能调节湿度。

请不要让狗进到屋子里。
* 有没 come，意思都不会有改变，美国有 let in 的惯用语。
12) Why did you come home so late last night?
昨晚你为何那样晚才回家？
* come home，come back，return的意义都相似。
13) Dad is building another room onto the back the house.
父亲另外在屋子的后面盖一个房间。
* 欧美的 weekend carpenter 也兼表增建房子的意思。
因为含有 attached to 的意义，所以才用 onto。
14) In the fall, the boys prune2 the trees.
在秋季，男生们便修剪那些树木。
* prune 是指把树上无用的树枝剪掉。
15) After the flood, the carpets were wet for a month.
洪水过后一个月，毛毡还是湿的。
16) I hate to dust the furniture and bookcases.
我很讨厌擦拭家具和书架上的尘埃。
* dust 是尘埃，但作动词时便变成拂拭尘埃。
dust 和 dirt 有不一样的意义在。
冲着玩泥巴的孩子说Don't get dirty.，但并不说Don't get dusty.。
17) My grandparents live in the house next door.
我的祖爸爸妈妈住在隔壁的房屋里。
* 就是说，他们变成 next door neighbors。
18) All the neighbors helped us move in.
邻居们都帮忙为大家搬家。
* move 还有移动的意思，因而产生搬家的解释。
又由于附有 in，所以作搬来解。
